The CaixaForum Barcelona review the last 25 years of experience of the artist in a large sample will allow the viewer to experience Barceló pictorial.
The exhibition organized by the Obra Social “la Caixa” not only celebrates the achievements of this important living artist of international stature in the last 25 years, but above all it offers the viewer a chance to understand the mystery, adrenaline and personal uncertainty involving the creative process of Miquel Barceló.
This way, this sample is key in order to experience a consistent and exciting Barceló’s work with over 180 pieces, from large canvases created from 1983 to the most recent, going through their ceramic pieces and sculptures, not to mention the watercolours, drawings, posters, books and travel books. All this serves to underline the pace and variety of his career.
The aim of the show is that the public can live the work of Barceló as an experience. For this, the artist was directly involved in the selection of works, with some fabrics from her own collection to make the exhibition a real event, and not so much a retrospective of his work.
