On October 30th 1971 the ice rink was opened for the public, which, like the Palau Blaugrana, was built by the architects Francesc Josep Caballé and Soteras.

This facility is home to two of the sections of the Club: the ice hockey (integrated by race teams and veterans) and figure skating (with individual competition teams and ballet on ice).

The construction of the pavilion was made with reinforced concrete, with a cover that has a saw tooth shape. The building occupies 3650 m2 and the seating capacity is of 1256 spectators.

The Ice Rink has seen, among others, international ice hockey tournaments, figure skating and table tennis, as well as a world championship and two World Fencing C hockey skates. This installation has also hold several parties and other celebrations, and one can go there to practice ice skating at the hours open for the general public.
