DISCOVER THE EXHIBITION “CHILLIDA, BETWEEN THE SHAPES”
La Roca Barcelona Gallery presents the exhibition “Chillida, Between the Shapes”, featuring works, projects, manuscripts, small sculptures and photographs that reveal a more intimate, less well known facet of the Basque artist. The outstanding exhibit in the show, which was produced in cooperation with the Eduardo Chillida – Pilar Belzunce Foundation, is the Heidegger / Chillida manuscript, unveiled for the first time in the Catalan capital.
The exhibition shows the unknown facet of the artist. The show revolves around three fundamental aspects of Chillida: his public work, his graphic creations and his work in small format presents its most intimate feature. The exhibition includes pieces of miscellaneous projects, small sculptures and various materials, prints, manuscripts and photographs that provide a consistent and coherent view of the language of the artist. These pieces include the manuscript Heidegger and Chillida, “The art and space”, which is exposed for the firs time in Barcelona. In this work the philosopher and sculptor probes on the intersections and divergences of their work and covers the concerns from both disciplines lead man on the edge of thought.
