Poble Espanyol of Barcelona will be transformed from April 30th until May 3rd into a typical German Biergarten, with beer poblenouand cuisine combined with workshops, competitions, prizes, music, fun and surprises. The Beer Festival returns this spring to Poble Espanyol of Barcelona!

The origins of the Biergärten (German for “beer garden”) was located in the Bavaria region of Germany, specifically in Munich, during the 19th century, and has become one of the most important traditions from the area. When the warm weather starts, streets, squares and parks are filled with typical Bavarian terraces where the star product is beer and, then, typical German food.

Poble Espanyol of Barcelona adopts this festive tradition, suitable for all ages and nationalities. The Biergarten is on in Barcelona for the second year running, where you can taste a wide variety of German beers and specialty foods such as the beloved: frankfurter, bratwurst, Kartoffel salad, pretzels, etc…

There will be something for everyone! Fun contests (jar lifting, contests like; “the giant sausage” and “the spicy sausage”, etc.) andworkshops on brewing at home and learning to serve beer shooters. The different activities will be enlivened with music by a blues live performance and a DJ. There will also be plenty to do with the kids! Cooking workshops with sausages, cookie decorating and mocktails.

Without a doubt: the Biergarten Beer Festival of Poble Espanyol is the ideal place to kick off the spring with good vibes and the most fun time… with family or friends!
