THIRTY YEARS OF VIRTUOSO CUSINE

The Palau Robert is devoting an exhibition to the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca to explain the creative process and the solid trajectory of the Roca brothers’ restaurant, which has become the best in the world. The display is entitled ‘El Celler de Can Roca, de la Terra a la Lluna’ [El Celler de Can Roca, from the Earth to the Moon] and it will run from 22 November to 23 April.

cellercanrocaThe exhibition is organized by the Government of Catalonia, with the support of the restaurant itself, and has been conceived as recognition of the Roca brothers’ work to become an international benchmark in gastronomy.

The Moon, which features in the exhibition title, represents a successful dream following 30 years of research into excellence in Taialà, a suburb of Girona. El Celler de Can Roca opened in 1986 as an initiative by Joan and Josep. Jordi joined the project in the year 2000. The restaurant was considered the best restaurant in the world in 2013 and 2015, according to Restaurant Magazine.

The exhibition is divided in to six sections: Memory of a Bar, Training, From the Earth to the Moon, Kaleidoscope, Total Experience and Memento Mori.

Timetable: Monday to Saturday:  10am – 8pm, Sundays: 10am – 2:30pm
