SNORKLING IN COSTA BRAVA

FreedivingSnorkel Medas: Once on board, the experienced monitors will equip you with a mask, flippers, wet suits and life jackets. They’ll also give you a new snorkel which is yours to take home. The journey to the Medas Islands will take about 10 minutes. On arrival they’ll give you a short briefing in different languages, help everyone into the water, and take you on a guided snorkel tour. The crystal clear water provides great visibility, and the Islands, which have been protected for 20 years, are a haven for a rich variety of marine flora and fauna including Grouper, Sea Bream, Barracuda and Octopus. Occasionally Dolphins can be seen. You will have approximately one hour and ten minutes to snorkel or relax on board of the comfortable boat which is fully equipped with a bar, bathroom facilities, lift access to the water and both shaded and sunny seating areas. On the way back to port, they take a cruise around this beautiful and unique archipelago of 7 islands that forms part of the Montgrí, Medas Island and Baix Ter Natural Park.

Safari Cruise: On this two-hour long trip they set sail along the attractive coast-line to a protected bay with crystal clear water. The monitors will equip you with a snorkel, mask, and life jacket before instructing you on the use of the equipment and helping you into the water. They’ll show you some of the best places to snorkel, and you can view some of the many different species of marine fauna to be found here through our glass-bottom section. The whole family will love the inflatable water slide, and floating sunbeds. Afterwards, relax and cool-off with our complimentary alcohol- free Sangria and fresh fruit. On the way back to port we take a cruise around the beautiful Medas Island archipelago, The boat is fully equipped with a bar, bathroom facilities, lift access to the water and both shaded and sunny seating areas.

How to get there: From Barcelona take the highway A-7, direction Girona / La Jorquera. After around 80km take exit 6 toward C-66 and continue 16 km in direction Girona/Figueres, then turn left to GI-642 (3,5km), continue Carretera de Torrent/GI-643 (8km) and look for Carretera de l’Estartit/GI-641
