SNOW PATROL
Snow Patrol is a Northern Irish rock band formed in Scotland in 1994. Initially an indie rock band, the band rose to prominence in the early-mid 2000s as part of the post-Britpop movement. During the course of their career, Snow Patrol has won seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards and has been nominated for six Brit Awards. Since the release of Final Straw, the band has sold over 16 million records worldwide.
Musicians, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Bono (of U2), Michael Stipe (of R.E.M.), and Nikki Sixx, have also expressed their admiration for Snow Patrol. Terri Hooley, founder of the Good Vibrations label and a lifelong supporter of local Northern Irish music, has expressed pride in bands like Snow Patrol.
On January 28th 2018, the band’s social media announced the upcoming release of their seventh studio album, entitled Wildness, which was released on 25 May 2018. The promotional video simply showed lead singer Gary Lightbody floating on a raft with a piano and seemingly trying to phone someone who is engaged.
Wildness Tour will come to Spain and they are going to do two concerts; first on February 13th in Barcelona and the next day in Madrid.
