7th FESTIVAL JARDINS of PEDRALBES
The Jardins Pedralbes Festival is a Concert Studio project. It has been 7 years since the first Jardins Pedralbes Festival, which was created by our passion for music and the city of Barcelona. We dreamed of an open place, outdoors, in contact with nature and history. With the support of the City Council of Barcelona and the Ministry of Culture of Generalitat de Catalunya, the idea ended in the Gardens of the Pedralbes Palace. Today, thanks to all of you, the festival has grown, becoming a reference in Europe.
A few minutes from away the centre, behind a wall covered with bougainvillea, is one of the lungs of Barcelona and one of the most beautiful gardens we can find in the city: the Palace of Pedralbes, a magnificent place to run, walk, rest and, for two months during summer, listen to music!
The 7th Festival Jardins Pedralbes once again offers summer evenings full of musical attractions, with a line-up including the likes of Diego el Cigala, Joan Dausà, Los Planetas, Woody Allen, Izal, The Beach Boys, Ramon Mirabet, Juanes, Gilberto Gil, Christopher Ross and Gipsy Kings.
The Italian singer-songwriter and French national Carla Bruni will be opening the festival on 5 June with a concert presenting her latest disc, French Touch.
The Gala de Ballet Étoiles de l’Òpera de París will be performing on 8 June, offering fragments from Swan Lake, Pas de Deux, by Balanchine, and The Dying Swan, by Fokine.
Mariah Carey, the best-selling woman artist of all time, will be playing at the festival as part of her Caution World Tour on 10 June, while Diego el Cigala will be marking the fifteenth anniversary of Lágrimas Negras on stage at the Jardins Pedralbes.
